One of my dreams is at the brink of coming true!!! For anyone who doesn't know me and actually reads this (which I'm pretty sure is no one) I have been engaged to my boyfriend of 8 years to about 3 and one half of them. Due to some medical issues, okay let's call it what it is; he has had 54 surgeries altogether and needless to say it has set us back financially by a horrific amount. Planning a wedding has not even been an idea we have entertained because, let's face it, almost any wedding no matter the size, style or guest list is expensive. So it's 2014...which means a new semester. This one is a big one. At the end of spring semester, I am up for my portfolio review which is basically where a panel of people review artwork and projects from my foundations art classes and decide whether or not I have what it takes to continue majoring in visual communications (graphic design). Naturally, thinking about this has thrown me into a panic. What if they say no? what if they say yes and I can't deliver? Warning: This is going to be a rant... Have you ever been in a place in your life where everything has either been a complete disappointment or just pisses you off? That's where I am right now. First of all, I am totally broke. I have overdrafted my checking account twice this month and still have bills to pay. There is no resolution to this problem in the near future, which has been difficult to accept. It is not just bills to pay that are concerning to me, but also the dilemma of marraige looming over my head. I have been with the same guy for 8 years and engaged for 3 of them. The only reason that we haven't set a date is because we cann
